CALL TO ACTION Join and get involved with the MI Impact Coalition, as we work to bring back Michigan’s State Rehab Tax Credit.  Senate Bill 469 (S1) passed the Senate on December 13, 2017. House Bill 5178 (HB 5178) has also been introduced to reinstate the Michigan Historic Preservation Tax Credit. These bills would reinstate the popular program that offers a credit of up to 25 percent of rehabilitation expenses against state income tax.

Building Michigan Communities Conference Request for Proposals Deadline

September 18

With a deadline of September 21, 2018, the Building Michigan Communities Conference Planning Committee is seeking proposals from individuals and organizations interested in presenting one or more educational sessions at the 2019 conference. The conference sessions serve to educate attendees, facilitate dialogue on important issues (day-to-day how do I do my job as well as big picture) and facilitate partnerships that endure beyond the conference.

To that end, the conference offers two and a half days of informative, educational sessions with experienced practitioners, industry professionals and special guests. The sessions speak to a broad spectrum of audiences that include front-line staff to executives, those new to the industry and those that have been involved for many years.
