Mastering Masonry: Hands-on Workshop

Join Brick + Beam Detroit & Henry Frerk Sons for a hands-on masonry repair and repointing class. We’ll have TWO class options — 10a-12p or 2p-4p — so you can pick which time works best for you! You can expect to learn:

• Common problems with historic masonry structures and their causes
• How to make proper repairs and prevent future damage
• Historic lime mortar repointing, cleaning and stripping masonry, mechanical anchors, and stone patching.

The class will be a combination of lecture, live demonstration (including lime slaking), and hands-on doing!
