The MHPN invites you throughout the year to attend small, social gatherings at historic venues. We call them our “house parties” – although they’re not all held in houses! – and we use them to introduce people to the MHPN. The next one is in downtown Wayne, featuring the Main Street program and their successes thus far.

Our day begins with a tour of the Wayne Historical Museum, formerly the Village Hall, built ca. 1878. Guests will then tour the old First United Methodist Church building, ca. 1929 which still retains much of its original features. Next, guests will tour a wonderful mid-century modern building that formerly housed the Bank of America. Guests will then return to the museum to enjoy a formal tea and luncheon catered by Victoria’s Tea Salon. After lunch, guests will be invited for an exclusive sneak peek into downtown Wayne’s newest Artist Market, Helium Studio days before their grand opening event!

PS – Consider staying after the program for a cocktail hour at The Avenue Downtown Wayne or perhaps a matinee film at the recently rehabilitated Art Deco State Wayne Theater.
