If interested in these opportunities, don’t register here yet! Please apply using the email addresses provided. If selected, you will receive a registration code. The deadline for both is 6 PM on April 17.

  1. MHPN has SCHOLARSHIPS for students, professionals, tradespeople, and others. Registration and overnight costs are covered. Submit a letter of interest, description of preservation interests, and letter of recommendation to: mhpnscholarships@gmail.com.
  2. VOLUNTEERS are needed. Volunteers receive 90% off registration on work days; added days are at the Student Rate. Contact: VolunteerMHPN@gmail.com
The Haworth Inn & Conference Center at Hope College is both the conference hotel and the center of conference activities.

Make reservations by going online at www.haworthinn.com, entering code 51419 as the "Promo Code;" alternatively, call 616-395-7200.

Conference rates are $154.29 for Wednesday and Thursday nights and $176.49 for Friday and Saturday nights; 6% Michigan state sales tax and 5% Holland occupancy tax included. Rooms include one-king or two-queen beds with 1-4 guests standard based on room type. Make reservations by 5 PM on Friday, April 12; based on room availability, the hotel may offer the discount past cut-off. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express accepted (no debit cards); reservations held with a credit card. Cancellations must be received by 6 PM the day of arrival. Check-in 3 PM/check-out 12 Noon.

Complimentary day parking is provided in adjacent Hope College Lots #20, #22, #23, and #24; receive tag at check-in for overnight parking. WiFi is complimentary, as is deluxe continental breakfast. This is a non-smoking facility; alcohol consumption is not permitted on the grounds, in public areas of the hotel, or in guest floor corridors. The Haworth Inn & Conference Center is within walking distance of over 100 shops, restaurants, galleries, and cultural attractions, as well as the historic campus of Hope College. The region is rich with weekend activities. The hotel conference rate is good through Sunday check-out!

Business casual is appropriate for all activities, but many dress for Friday's Awards Evening. Wear comfortable shoes for the tours; have rain gear available.
For a booth at the Vendors' Showcase, complete the Registration Form by clicking on “Vendor Registration in the upper left. Space is assigned when registration and payment arrive; register early. Vendor spaces are 8' x 8' with up to two 5' tables with cloths and 2 chairs. You provide display elements; attaching items to walls is prohibited. Electrical outlets may not be adjacent to your booth so bring extension cords. There is no secure on-site storage; neither MHPN nor the venue is liable. You will receive registration confirmation. Set-up/break-down times and a map for unloading/loading are sent closer to the conference.

Showcase hours: Thursday from 12 Noon - 6:30 PM & Friday from 9 AM - 3:45 PM.

If your company is a conference sponsor, a discount on the member price of $160 for a booth applies:

  • Support of $5,000+ = FREE Booth
  • $2,500+ = $40 Booth
  • $1,000+ = $80 Booth
  • $500+ = $120 booth;
  • $250+ = $144 booth

General: Each person participating in any event, tour, or other activity related to this Annual Conference hereby releases the Michigan Historic Preservation Network and all cooperating organizations and related individuals from any and all suits, demands, or claims for injury (including death), loss, or other damage arising out of or occurring in connection with any activity associated with said Annual Conference.
Photography: Your registration constitutes implied consent to be photographed and to have those photos published with appropriate identification.
Registration Policies
  1. Early Registration must be faxed or postmarked by midnight on Wednesday, April 10.
  2. Registration starting on April 11 must be faxed or postmarked by 6 PM on Wednesday, May 8.
  3. Registrations after 6 PM on May 8, as well as walk-ins, are welcome, but food and activities cannot be guaranteed.
  4. Registration confirmation is e-mailed or mailed.
  5. Refunds are subject to a $20 administrative fee and made 30-45 days after the conference. Cancellations or changes made after 6 PM, May 8, and no-shows, are not reimbursed.
  6. Reservations may be transferred, unchanged, to another participant; notify the MHPN.
  7. Tours, events, and lunches can have limited space; waiting lists are kept.
Registration Discounts
  • MHPN Member registering by close of April 10 receives 25% off.
  • MHPN Member registering after April 10 receives 10% off.
  • Student and 60+ registering by close of April 10 receives 50% off.
  • Student and 60+ registering after April 10 receives 35% off.
  • Presenters are free on the days they present and, for additional days, receives 50% off. A Coupon Code will be provided for registration.
  • Donors of $1,000+ gifts and Scholar registering any time receives 100% off. A Coupon Code will be provided for registration.
